Dine with a Doc

DFN launched ‘Dine with a Doc’ in 2019 as a forum for networking and knowledge exchange led by our Advisory Council team. Held in a similar style to a professional breakfast seminar or 'lunch and learn', the events provide healthcare professionals with topical nutrition updates while also serving as a welcoming forum for networking among like-minded peers.

The format

Dine with a Doc has been created as a friendly forum for knowledge exchange and networking over a delicious whole-food plant based meal.

Led by our Advisory Council team of Ambassadocs, dietitians and adjunct health practitioners around Australia and New Zealand, each Dine with a Doc event showcases short talks or panel discussions on the latest in evidence-based nutrition science.

Who is it for?

These gatherings are primarily created for those working or studying in the healthcare sector. However, interested members of the general public are also welcome to attend.

Continuing Professional Development

Upon request, attendees will be provided with a certificate of attendance outlining contact hours and topics. This may be used to self-claim CPD points.

How the idea arose

During our inaugural Australasian Nutrition in Healthcare Conference held in February 2019, attendees expressed how refreshing it was to be surrounded by like-minded people interested in putting nutrition at the heart of healthcare.

We were also delighted to hold a Walk with a Doc event at the inaugural conference, an inspiring initiative putting lifestyle medicine into action.

Dine with a Doc was born soon afterwards!
