Doctors For Nutrition have developed an online course titled Prescribing Nutrition. Designed for GPs, medical students and health professionals in Australia and New Zealand, this course explores how to improve patient outcomes through plant-based nutrition.

To assist Doctors For Nutrition with funds to create the course, we were fortunate to receive a grant from the T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies (CNS). CNS was not involved in the design of the Prescribing Nutrition course or the content in any way.

This course has been approved for 8 CPD hours by the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) and 8 PDP hours with the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM).

Plant-based nutrition: a sustainable diet for optimal health

Winchester University (UK)

Winchester University and Plant Based Health Professionals UK have collaborated to create the UK’s first plant-based nutrition university course. This 8-week course, convened by DFN International Advisor Dr Shireen Kassam. Delivered online, it is open to health professionals and nutrition enthusiasts from anywhere in the world, with CPD accreditation available via the British Society of Lifestyle Medicine. The content has been created by 17 plant-based health professionals and experts from the UK. Many have been plant-based themselves for several years and use plant-based nutrition in their clinical practice as part of an overall approach to lifestyle medicine. Accredited for 30 CPD/CME hours by the British Society of Lifestyle Medicine and can be counted towards Maintenance of Certification for the International Board of Lifestyle Medicine diploma. The course is a facilitated self-paced short course to be completed within eight weeks.
