Preventing
Bowel Cancer

Supporting prevention through everyday nutrition and lifestyle choices

Bowel cancer is the 4th most common cancer in Australia, and New Zealand has one of the highest bowel cancer rates in the world. For Australians aged 25–54 and New Zealanders under 50, bowel cancer is the deadliest cancer. The good news is that more than half of all bowel cancer cases could be prevented through healthy lifestyle choices, and when bowel cancer is found early around 90% of cases can be successfully treated.

Preventing Bowel Cancer is an online on-demand course designed to help you understand how everyday lifestyle decisions can influence your risk of bowel cancer. Developed by healthcare professionals, the course provides you with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to create consistent habits that support lifelong health and wellbeing.
