The Brain Health
Blueprint
Practical ways to support brain health and reduce dementia risk
Dementia affects hundreds of thousands of people across Australia and New Zealand, and the number of people living with dementia is expected to increase significantly in the coming decades. It is the leading cause of death in Australia, and in New Zealand three people develop dementia every hour. Dementia is not an inevitable part of getting older. In fact, research suggests that around 45–50% of dementia cases could potentially be prevented or delayed by addressing 14 modifiable risk factors throughout life.
Developed by healthcare professionals, this course explores what the latest evidence tells us—and, importantly, what you can do to protect your brain health at any age.
